My name is Kris and I'm thrilled to start this journey on www.myjourneystory.ca. Thanks for dropping by!
Since I was a little girl, you could always find me with a pen in hand and some sort of paper nearby. It would be loose, lined sheets of paper or a variety of notebooks for me to write in or doodle. There would also be an array of writing tools just for added enjoyment. I am still the same way as an adult! In my teen years, I wrote in a journal almost daily. In my twenties, I would do so whenever there was an experience I wanted to record in detail. Writing has always been a big part of my daily life and one that I still cherish.
Documenting one's life experiences is important and meaningful.
I have always enjoyed learning about people's experiences and hearing their stories, whether they were shared in a book, told verbally in-person, in a documentary, etc. I am fascinated with how a person's every day moments are in fact making history.

For all of the reasons above and more, this blog, My Journey Story evolved. The idea to have a website came to me during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are living through unprecedented times and as we live it, the experiences and memories that are recorded are a gift not only to ourselves to reflect on, but for those who come after us.
